Questions to Ask a Prom Party Bus Company
A short, direct question list separates parent-ready prom operators from vague middlemen—ask these before any student money changes hands.
Credentials and insurance
Who is the legal operating company on the contract? Can you email proof of commercial insurance? For our passenger count, will the driver hold a CDL?
What is your accident or breakdown backup plan on a Saturday prom night? Is a peer vehicle guaranteed or only “subject to availability”?
Vehicle and capacity
What is the seated capacity of the exact vehicle class reserved for our date? Can we see recent photos of that class?
If our vehicle has a mechanical issue, what minimum capacity will the substitute meet? Is “or similar” defined in writing?
Alcohol-free and conduct policies
Please point to the contract language banning underage alcohol. What happens if alcohol is found—termination, return location, and refund rules?
Are bag checks allowed at boarding? What conduct ends the trip immediately beyond alcohol?
Itinerary, timing, and fees
For a photo→dinner→venue route with our addresses, how many hours do you recommend and what is the overtime rate?
What fees apply for extra stops, tolls, parking, after-midnight service, or multiple drop-offs? Is gratuity included?
Money and changes
How much is the deposit, when is the balance due, and what is the last day for a refund or date change if the school moves prom?
Who do parents call the day of if the bus is late, and what is your on-time communication standard?
